Care Instructions

A linen apron with lavender and daisies embroidered on the bib and your own words stitched above them.

This is the one people order with a name on it: Nonna's Kitchen, Chez Danielle, Moni. Tell us the words and we stitch them in by hand, in a colour that sits with the flowers. Green, rust, pink, cream, or any shade on the charts.

Details

  • Linen, embroidered entirely by hand — stitched, not printed
  • Two deep front pockets
  • Thread: cotton embroidery thread
  • Linen colour: choose any shade from the charts in the photos
  • Made to order in our Hanoi studio

Personalisation

We can stitch a name, a monogram or a short line of text — a kitchen name, a date, whatever you want it to say. Write it out exactly as it should read, including any spelling you would rather we did not correct. Every letter is sewn by hand, so please check it before you order.

Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or hand wash, and hang to dry. Iron on the reverse while slightly damp. Do not bleach — it lifts the thread colour before it lifts the stain.

About the photos

The photos show the same apron in several linen colours and with different names stitched on, so you can see how it looks before you choose. What you receive is the colour and the wording you pick — not the exact one in the picture.

Size

One size: 31.5 in (80 cm) across and 35.4 in (90 cm) long, with a bib about 14 in (35 cm) wide. The ties adjust at the back, so it fits a wide range of bodies. If you need it shorter, longer or wider, tell us your height and we will cut to fit — no extra charge.

Free worldwide shipping on orders over $60. Under $60, shipping is a flat $4.95. You see the final number before you pay — there is nothing to calculate.

Made to order. Every piece is embroidered by hand in our Hanoi studio after you order, so please allow 7–14 business days for us to stitch and finish it, then international post from Vietnam on top. If you are working to a date — a wedding, a birthday, Christmas — message us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it.

If something is wrong. Email us within 3 days of delivery with photos if your order arrives damaged, incorrect or faulty and we will put it right. Because almost everything is made to order we do not accept change-of-mind returns, and personalised pieces cannot be returned once we have started stitching. Hand embroidery on linen lasts for years if you treat it gently. These are the only four things that matter.

  • Wash cool. Cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. No bleach — it lifts the thread colour before it lifts the stain.
  • Be gentle. Hand wash without rubbing, wringing or twisting. In a machine, use a delicate cycle and put the piece in a mesh bag so the stitches cannot snag.
  • Dry flat. Press the water out in a rolled towel, then lay it flat to air dry. Do not tumble dry.
  • Iron on the reverse. Low to medium heat, no steam, while the fabric is slightly damp. Never iron directly onto the embroidery.
