Wildflower Linen Napkins, Hand-Embroidered
Linen dinner napkins with a different wildflower stitched on each one, so no two places at the table are set the same.
Daisies, cornflowers, a bee, a grape vine, a sprig of something you cannot quite name. We stitch a different motif on each napkin in the set unless you ask us to repeat one, and we can add a name or initials in the corner. Choose your linen from the colour charts in the photos.
Details
- Linen, embroidered entirely by hand — stitched, not printed
- Edges finished by hand so they survive the wash
- Thread: cotton embroidery thread
- Linen and thread colours: choose from the charts in the photos
- Made to order in our Hanoi studio
Personalisation
We can stitch a name, a monogram or a short line of text. Write it out exactly as you want it to read, including any spelling you would rather we did not correct.
Care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or hand wash, and hang to dry. Iron on the reverse while slightly damp. Do not bleach — it lifts the thread colour before it lifts the stain.
About the photos
We stitch the same motifs across the whole table, so some of the photos show the design on our napkins, placemats, tea towels or handkerchiefs rather than on the piece you are looking at. That is deliberate — it is how you can see what a matching set would look like. What you are ordering on this page is listed in the title, and you can ask us to carry the same motif onto any other piece.
Setting a table with them
Linen softens with every wash, so these look better in year three than in week one. Order an extra one or two beyond your seat count: it saves you washing the whole set when one goes in the laundry.
Free worldwide shipping on orders over $60. Under $60, shipping is a flat $4.95. You see the final number before you pay — there is nothing to calculate.
Made to order. Every piece is embroidered by hand in our Hanoi studio after you order, so please allow 7–14 business days for us to stitch and finish it, then international post from Vietnam on top. If you are working to a date — a wedding, a birthday, Christmas — message us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it.
If something is wrong. Email us within 3 days of delivery with photos if your order arrives damaged, incorrect or faulty and we will put it right. Because almost everything is made to order we do not accept change-of-mind returns, and personalised pieces cannot be returned once we have started stitching. Hand embroidery on linen lasts for years if you treat it gently. These are the only four things that matter.
- Wash cool. Cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. No bleach — it lifts the thread colour before it lifts the stain.
- Be gentle. Hand wash without rubbing, wringing or twisting. In a machine, use a delicate cycle and put the piece in a mesh bag so the stitches cannot snag.
- Dry flat. Press the water out in a rolled towel, then lay it flat to air dry. Do not tumble dry.
- Iron on the reverse. Low to medium heat, no steam, while the fabric is slightly damp. Never iron directly onto the embroidery.
